Stakhanov Ferroalloy Plant 

 

 

 

For over 45 years Stakhanov Ferroalloy Plant specializes in Silicon alloys manufacturing. It is the biggest producer of Ferrosilicon in Ukraine, and since 2004 – one of the main manufacturers of Manganese alloys.

Stakhanov plant is located in the eastern part of Donbass (large coal resource region), in the suburbs of the city of Stakhanov. This location was chosen strategically due to close proximity to other metallurgical facilities and well developed transportation infrastructure. The plant was originally built in 1959. By the end of 1962 there were 8 furnaces operating full time. The annual production capacity of the plant is 248 000 mt of alloys.

 

To meet the requirements of constantly improving industry specifics the facility utilizes highly automated manufacturing process, using the latest updated technology and equipment. After the reconstruction in 2004, Stakhanov plant expanded its production capacity for FeSi and added Manganese alloys – (Ferrosilicomanganese and Ferromanganese). It had also addressed important ecological issues by introducing dry purification system with the use of new technologies.
