Starting July 1976, “Combinatul Metallurgic Tulcea” has been the only source of ferroalloys in Romania’s metallurgy, producing large range of ferroalloys containing silicon, manganese, chrome, as well as special ferroalloys and silicon metal.
The plant is situated in the Eastern part of Romania in the town of Tulcea on the banks of Danube River, within just 3 km of industrial port “Deltanav” and within 120 km of port “Constanta”, the deepest port in Black Sea region.
Ferroalloys produced by "Feral" can be shipped through all modes of transportation: Containers, Barges, Sea going vessels, Rail Cars, Trucks. In July 2010 - 20,000 mt vessel “Hoanya Wisdom” was loaded with ferroalloys in river port “Deltanav”, paving the way for large bulk carriers and eliminating the need for multimodal transportation.
The installed annual production capacity is 250 000 mt.
