NZF, Nikopol Ferro Alloy Plant, one of the largest global producers of manganese alloys, is situated in the South of Ukraine in town of Nikopol, Dnepropetrovsk region. The plant started its operations in 1966. The construction site for the plant was determined considering the strategic vicinity of manganese ore mines, electrical sources, and traffic routes. The basic commodities of Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant are Ferrosilicomanganese (FeSiMn) and Ferromanganese (FeMn). The annual production capacity of the plant is more than 1 million metric tons of silicomanganese, 250 thousand metric tons of ferromanganese, 60 thousand metric tons of fluxes and 50 thousand metric tons of electrode paste.

Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant is presently one of the largest and technologically most advanced ferroalloy manufacturers in the world. Manganese alloys manufactured at Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant have a superior standing in the metallurgical market.

Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant has a long experience of ferroalloy production using ores of local origin and imported ores from Australia, South Africa, Gabon, Ghana, Kazakhstan and Brazil. The railway cars transporting raw materials are delivered to the plant’s railway junction optimizing handling operations. The production of low phosphorous ferrosilicomanganese is carried out with the use of charged slag, which is produced by non-fluxed method at the plant’s ferromanganese smelting unit.
